AT THREE-DAY NYIRAGONGO VOLCANO HIKE

Day 1: Kigali international pick up and transfer to Gisenyi (3 hour car drive) D

Upon your arrival at Kigali international airport, you will meet our guide driver who is fluent in French and English. You will be welcomed as King and then after a little briefing on the daily activity, you will get transferred to Gisenyi. You will get in Jeep and start driving through Mountains and Hills with a breathtaking landscape on your way. After one hour of driving, it will be your stopover. And after 30 minutes experiencing the beauty of scenery spot, you will then continue your way to Rubavu. You will get welcomed by Waiters at Hill View Hotel where you will spend your night; nearby Kivu Lake.Overnight: Hill View Hotel .

Day 2: Nyiragongo Volcano hike up (up to 6hour) (BLD)

After your breakfast, you will get to check in at Virunga National Park after crossing Rwanda-Congo border. You should be there around 7:00 as check in should start immediately at this time. After check in you will get in your safari car and start your journey to Nyiragongo feet. Hiking will start around 10 and takes you around 6hours to reach on the top of the volcano which has 3470m of altitude and stay nearby the Lava Lake.

Day 3: Nyiragongo hike down (4 hours) BL

After your breakfast, you will take pictures for your memory before you start hiking down the mountain around 7. Hiking down takes around 4hours; you will reach the lowest point around 11 and cross Congo-Rwanda border. You will have your lunch in Rubavu before you get transferred to Kigali for your night flight.
