The Orishas dances are a part of the Afro-Cuban Folklore dances. For many Cubans Orishas are much more than just a dance, it's a religion and a culture. Orishas are the gods of the Yoruba/Santeria Religion (and a few more). Each of these gods looks and act a certain way, it has a story and a character. On this special online classes we will learn the roots, history ,rhythms of Orishas as well as the movements behind the dances. Involving undulations, contractions and intricate hand and head movements, this class is suitable for all levels beginners can learn the fundamentals while more advanced students can focus on technique.
